I am pretty sure, they could be enjoyed within two days.
However, it is easy yet delicious recipe for beginners too.
Ingredients:
Chana dal 200 gm/one cup
Sugar 200 gm/one cup
Fresh Cow Ghee 40 ml+1 tsp+2 tbsp
Broken Cashews 1/2 cup
Raisins 1 tbsp
Edible Camphor one tiny bit crushed
Crushed Cardamom seeds 1/4 tsp
Kaesar colour powder 1/4 tsp
Water 1/2 cup
Edible Silver wark (optional)
Procedure:
Wash Chana dals several times until clear water.
Drain the water completely.
Add 2 cups of water and let them soaked for four hours.
Drain the water completely.
Grind until coarse texture without adding water.
Heat a wok with 40 ml ghee. Once the ghee melting, reduce the flame to low level.
Transfer the ground coarse dal contents to the wok.
Fry the dal contents on low heat by folding the
ground dal contents continuously until moisture free. This will take about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Set to cool down.
2 nd step:
We have to make one string consistency sugar syrup now.
Add sugar one cup/200 gm to a dry pan.
Add water 1/2 cup.
Bring to boil on high flame.
Add Kaesar food colour.
Stir to combine.
Crush a tiny bit of edible camphor.
and add.
Once the syrup starts boiling with full of bubbles, reduce the flame to medium level.
Check the consistency.
Do refer the video for one string consistency.
Reduce the flame to low, once the syrup reached one string consistency.
Transfer the ghee-fried dal contents.
Mix to combine.
The coarse dal contents start to imbibe the sugar syrup.
Add crushed Cardamom.
One time, all the syrup combined with dal completely and turn non sticky texture.
Turn off the heat.
Fry the Cashews in 2 tbsp ghee on low heat and add to the sweet dal contents along with the ghee.
Add Raisins to the remaining ghee and fry for a second on low heat.
Transfer the fried Raisins.
Mix well to combine.
Set aside for 5 minutes.
Apply Edible Silver wark over Laddus and brush randomly.
This is optional.
Ready to serve.
Approximately 16 Laddus out of the above given measurement of Ingredients.
If you need more, you can multiply the quantity of Ingredients.
